?Call to Artists?

The Rowan County Arts Center, 205 East Main Street in Morehead, KY, invites area artists to enter their work in the ?Self-Portrait? juried exhibition scheduled for October 1-30, 2008 at the Arts Center. 2-D and 3-D original artwork in any media created by individuals over the age of 18 will be considered. Size of 2-D artwork may not exceed

36 inches in width and must be framed, wired and ready to hang. 3-D works should be self-supporting and weigh no more than 50 pounds.

All work must be suitable for family viewing and the artist will be responsible for providing insurance coverage and shipping costs. The Arts Center will exercise careful handling of all artwork, but will assume no responsibility for damages or loss. Each artist may enter up to 3 works for a nonrefundable entry fee of $15. Entries will be juried from images on CD or actual works delivered to the Rowan County Arts Center and must be accompanied by a short artist?s statement as well as contact information and entry information (title, dimensions, medium, price). All entries must be received by September 15, 2008.

Entries will be judged and selected with notifications made to artists by September 20, 2008. Chosen works must be delivered to the Rowan County Arts Center by September 26, 2008.

Pickup of artwork after the exhibit must be made by November 8, 2008..

NOTE: All self-portraits must be the artwork of the submitting artist.
